You may be wondering who Chubby is...
Of course, he is our Ragdoll cat, actually named Chubby's Baby Face. He is 14 years old, and still has enough kitten in him to entertain all of us. He has quite a personality. Between him and our son, who needs TV?
Meet the rest of the family...
David, husband & father, returned to college to earn an AAS Degree in Respiratory Therapy. His graduation should take place in May 2010. Since he began this endeavor, he is constantly studying or in a lecture or lab class. In January 2009, his clinicals began. He has spent nearly all the clinical days working in the hospital located the farthest from our home. He must leave home by 5 AM, and usually returns home about 10-12 hours later, exhausted. If and when he finds a little down time (not often) he likes to check out how his favorite sports teams are doing. This past start of the baseball season... he actually forgot to look, he was so busy with school. Some of the sports he enjoys are baseball, basketball and ice hockey. His favorite subject is old movies, either watching them or reading about them. Some of his favorites are Laurel & Hardy, the Little Rascals, the Bowery Boys, Abbott and Costello, Buster Keaton, and Blondie. He also enjoys keeping up on current events, usually via the Internet, when he gets a chance. He is an avid reader, and has the library to prove it too!
Gayle, wife, mother, & homemaker is now juggling homeschooling, working a part time portrait photography job, and has recently enrolled as a student in the New York Institute of Photography for one course. She used to enjoy such hobbies as genealogy, journaling and gardening. She still finds time to read, and pursue her favorite hobby of photography, especially when Michael is awake and running around. (It is Michael who is the most photographed subject around here. Chubby endures it, but he was happy to provide you with an adorable photo or two for this website.) The homeschooling and part time job both surfaced in September 2005, and the NYIP course became a reality in the summer of 2009. She is gearing up to open her own business someday. Asked to photograph a couple of Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and a couple of weddings, with the next one in 2010, it was time to begin taking the NYIP course. Life is very busy around here!
And Michael, at 9 years old, is busy being a boy. He really enjoys going to the playground, the swimming pool, or to our congregation. He has a few good friends that he plays with on a regular basis, often at one of the above places. At the playground, he's into jumping-rope, hula-hooping, using sidewalk chalk, flying kites and just playing games with the neighborhood kids. Though he never watches the show anymore, he still likes the characters:
and even
. He likes to take the books he owns, and add more Sesame Street characters than the author originally intended, and usually more action to the story also. Over the past year or two, he's developed a fondness for VeggieTales. He's already begun imitating the voices of Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, as he had for years with the Sesame Street characters. He loves books and videos, making music, and pretend play. Lately, he's devoured a series of books, having had his appetite whetted with a couple of books purchased a while ago, and then seeing them in the library. He begs me to check new libraries to see if there are any in the series he hasn't read yet. He also likes to lay train tracks all over the living room floor and then entertain our curious cat with driving trains on the tracks, and sometimes right on the carpet. He enjoys more creative activities too, such as painting and drawing. Just a few years ago, his favorite indoor activity was singing and dancing. On occasion, he will still do this, but it seems to be in spurts. While he was yet 2 years old, he took up photography, and was quite good for his age! Check out some of his first photography in our Photo Album. Occasionally, he gets to use Mommy's digital camera now, but with much supervision.

will be totally ignored.
